Today, the Conservative Party announced it was going to contest the EU elections.
Later it was suggested that this could be pulled if the WA were passed.
Let us ponder this for a moment on how far Brexit has fallen from sunlit uplands to being so far away that the Government is accepting plans have to be put in place in case the EU offer a year extension.
It is not the end.
Nor the end of the beginning, nor the beginning of the end.
But remarkable things are happening. And all the time it is not even clear to the Tory Whips even if Parliament will be sitting on Friday.
