Sunday Brexit

As the Easter Break at Westminster goes on and on, if one is to believe the Sunday papers then Brexiteers are planning to remove the PM again.

Let's not forget how badly that vote of confidence went that JRM arranged.

The Brexiteers trying to run the country is clearly laughable, considering on how badly they managed to run Brexit But let us not forget, that if a Brexiteer was PM, they would have ended up in either the same position, or taking the UK economy over the cliff edge, which is the only reason they want to depose May now.

Even if there was a rabid Brexiteer as PM and they wanted to drive the UK to a no deal, then there just isn't the numbers in Westmnster to ratify it, as would be required in accordance with UK law. Of course, as a matter of international law, the UK could leave the EU, but the Commons would never allow any Government in this Parliamant to do so, there just isn't the numbers.

And then there is this session of Parliamant, now nearly two years old. The Government has run out of things to do. Apart from Brexit. If it were to have a new Queen's speech, then May could reintroduce the MV and maybe get it passed. But the Queen's Speech would need to be written, and most importantly, voted on. If a Queen's Speech were to include no deal or the current WA, there just isn't the numbers to vote for it, and a Government that could not get the Queen's Speech passed by its own party would surely fall.

So, we have the so called Leader of the House, seriously suggesting there is no need for a Queen's Speech, Parliament could carry on as if there had been one.

Let us be honest here, any Government that cannot get any legislation passed, cannot get a Queen's Speech outlining her Government's policies for the enxt year through the Commons is not a Government at all.

It is no way to run Government, no way to run the country either.

But the madness continues.
