On Friday at 23:00 the UK is due to leave the EU as a matter of international law.
It is therefore irrelevant what happens in Westminster this week regarding making no deal impossible to accept, taking it off the table or whatever. No deal is the default as a matter of international law, and it is international law that we are shackled to.
Also, even if no deal happens, our wonderfully dim Leader of the Commons, Andrea Leadsome, hasn't left enough time to get all required legislation passed in time.
As a matter or international law we would leave, and by domestic law oo. But our domestic laws would be woefully under prepared for the leaving. Even the first part of the Withdrawal Bill has not even been begun.
It is a mess.
A mess of our own making, and unless revocation happens, then it is something we will have to deal with.
Time is running out, and May does not know if her request on Friday to extend A50 has been accepted or not. If not there will be a panic like you've never seen. I suspect a year's extension will be offered. But it is possible that none will be offered.
Eeek.
May released a video trying to explain where the country is wit Brexit, but forgot to mention the absolute clusterfuck she made of it, or the total twats she gave the job of delivering it to.
So, who knows. I know what common sense would have us do, but Brexit has been a common sense free zone for over two years.
It will be bumpy, it will be fraught. And at the end of the week, many political careers will lie in ruins. We just don't know whose.
