Brexit update

No matter what any UK politician says, no matter how long any extension is made to A50, there are just three possible outcomes for Brexit:

1. A negotiated withdrawal agreement(WA). At the moment the EU and UK have one, though after agreeing to it, the UK now is reneging on it, and wants to renegotiate it. The EU have constantly said that the WA will not be reopened. Starting to renegotiate a new WA is a non-starter, no matter who is PM, unless there is some new signal from the electorate.

2. No deal. No deal, the EU have said, will not include any side deals. So no "managed" no deal, no deals for transport, trade or rights. Brexit means Brexit. Apparently.

3. No Brexit. Revoke A50. The UK can do this at any time until the articles of the EU cease to apply to the UK.

The EU have said that in the event of the WA not being ratified, and a no deal Brexit occurring, the prerequisite for talks on anything starting will be the three conditions in the WA, including the backstop.

These are the UK's choices, just have to decide which one. No cake, no sunlit uplands.

And there are just 73 sitting days for the Commons between now and the end of October 2019.
