The tide is turning, but the lady and Jezza are not

Peter Oborne, an ardent Brexiteer, yesterday published a long article on the Open Democracy website revealing he has changed his mind.

Brexit is not going well, apparently.

The promises made have not been kept, apparently.

The UK have all the cards wasn't correct, apparently.

The referendum was illegally procured, apparently.

Business is leaving the UK with their jobs and money in record numbers, apparently.

That it has taken him until the 6th April 2019 to realise this and publish is somewhat disappointing. I mean, we are told we need to embrace former leavers who see the error of their ways and views. But, there are intelligent people, who have the best education money could buy, and not once did they stop and think if all this sounds too good to be true maybe we should ask a few questions?

He still like the PM though. Say no more.

So, in under 5 days now, the UK is due to leave the EU by simple operation of international law.

Can whoever has ownership of the last braincell in Westminster please use it?

Meanwhile, EU citizens are having to apply for settled status to remain here. One is the deputy director of OFSTED a Government body that audits schools, he has been denied and must now provide evidence he has lived here legally since 2013. What chance does ordinary people stand if this is happening to someone literally employed by the Government.
