More lies and damned lies

The UK stastic authority has reprimanded Michael Gove's Cabinet Office for misrepresenting data in relation to freight flows either way across the Channel, and in its (the Cabinet Office) rebuttal drew kore critism for using unverified data.

Not that this will make any difference. I mean, once upon a time, this would have resulted in the Minister's resignation. But not now, not under this PM where loyalty to him and Brexit is all that matters.

Defence has been slashed with aircrft that have been in service less than 20 years have been scrapped, and orders for new ones very much reduced. Tis like the 15% pay rise for HMRC was hidden away in te Chancellors small print on Wednesday.

Imports from France to the UK are 20% down.

Imports from Germany are down 30%

Imports from Italy are 38% down, and imports from the UK into Italy are 70% down.

But Gove and Johnson would have you believe that flow is just 2 or three percent down either way, as they ignore the empty trucks.

In the Torygraph, Frost says that the EU must stop sulking about Brexit. The Government's only policy, rather than dealing with what it negotiated and agreed, is to create areas of conflict and inflate that.

Looking at Fleet Street's front pages, filled with wall-towall Harry and Megan coverage, helping the Palace in damage limitation, whilst mounting yet more personal attacks on a woman, a woman of colour, who has her own mind. This, also hides the monumental failure in Brexit and COVID, the total deaths are now at 140,062, and tens of billions of pounds of taxpayer's money spent in secret and without scrutiny, and they would rather no one ever asked.

But there is no money, apparently, for the NHS, which is still very much under threat.

5,177 people were reported to have been infected yesterday in the UK. Remember, in other, more enlightened countries, infections in single figures result in reimposition of a lockdown. IN the UK we will open all schools.

We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I hope its not Johnson driving an incoming train.
