Waiting for the u-turn

The Government encouraged us all to stand at our doors give NHS, Care and key workers rounds of applause every Thursday through the Spring.

I guess the assumption was, that being these are the guys who literally wrote that Brexit would bring an extra £350,000,000 a week, which we could spend on the NHS, and seeing they have all had a dreadful year, and worked, risking their lives to keep us safe and ten our friends and loved ones in their hour of need, that when the time came they would be rewarded.

Claps cost nothing.

They're also worth noting. You can't buy bread with claps, or pay for the heating.

Quite simply, the Government, and Conservatives in general, are happy spending taxpayer's money on things their friends can overcharge us for, and supply us with shit, but help actual working people? These are the fucking Tories, they lie.

They have sold out the NHS, Care and Key workers, worth nothing more than 1%, but that's amounts to a real wage increase, as long as inflation stays below 1%. MPs have had 8 pay rises in 11 years, one was nearly 15%, pay review bodies for MP's pay have to be honoured, but not those for NHS workers.

Of course.

Give Cummings a 50% pay rise for lying about his trip to Durham and ruining the Government's message on public health. Save actual lives? 1%.

Give Dido Harding £37 billion for her failed track and trace, that would give every NHS worker a twenty five grand bonus, but they get nothing.

Cummings get £100 billion for Operation Moonshot, whch we don't really know what it is, or what the cash has been spaffed on.

£32 billion on PPE contracts for decades supply of protectve gear of unknown quality which the Government happily paid over the odds so their mates could make a killing.

Sickening. To my core.

If you're thinking of voting Tory at the next election, do me a favour and punch yourself in the face instead.

Jen believes that the UK can't afford to pay NHS workers more, becasue that is what the papers and BBC report. We can. Its a simple political decision, and the Tories just don't want to do it.

But they like giving public money to their mates, of course.
