No money left

Another row has blown up over another Government "levelling up" fund, with many more Conservative represented areas rather than Labour ones. But don't worry,Johnson says he's been assured that the formula is fair and he is satisfied.

So I guess that's the matter closed.

Only, at some point, the formula will have to be published and yet more public money is seen to be being used for political gain, pork barrel politics its called, apparently. So I imagine this weekend there are SPADs trying to create a formula to fit the fact that Richmond in North Yorks, the chancellor's constituency is in group 1, so gets lots of cash despite being something like the 251st most deprived one, whereas Salford at number 6, gets to be on group 2, so gets less.

But I am sure it's fair.

But there is still no money for nurses and doctors. Despite a pay agreement two years ago seemed to promise a 2% pay rise this year, which the Government say was not "enshrined in law".

But their pay awards are fine.

As I mooted yesterday, it is only a matter of tme before there is a u-turn, its just a case of when.
