A few months ago, I could look it up as to exactly when, but you know, why bother? Trump visited the UK and said that nothig would be off the table in trade talks between the US and UK, especially the NHS.
Today, he flatly denied wanting anything to do with the NHS, drugs prices and that if the UK were to offer the NHS on a silver plate, he would refuse it.
One is true, the other a lie.
Buying the NHS might not be strictly true, but the privatisation-by-stealth goes on without pause.
Trump is in London for the 75th anniversary of NATO, but for Trump it is an opportunity to undermine what is left of it, castigating EU nations for not paying enough towards the organisation's budget.
Meanwhile, Turkey is threatening the organisation if it does not share Turkey's view that Kurds are terrorist organisations.
The world and NATO are in a mess, and needs focused minds, meanwhile they also have to deal with the economic banality of Brexit at the same time. Its madness, but its our madness.
Back home, little progress has been made on Brexit, other than more lies being spun, and all the while time is running out before the next Brexit date hoves into view.
Oh well.
