The last day

Tomorrow is the last day of campaigning for the election.

Thank God.

It has been dreadful, far worse than feared.

The Prime Minister has run chicken shit scared from any kind of scrutiny, which is what he has done since becoming PM, and will be a feature going forward, if he wins, almost no debate in the House, no difficult interviews, mostly by tweet and friendly interviews.

When he has been cornered, he has lied. Lied even when being asked an easy question, because that's what he does. He has lied regarding border checks between Ireland/NI and the rest of Britain, when even his own departments and ministers say such checks will be needed.

He has resorted to often repeated phrases, simple answers from a simple PM, but no detail on how these will be done, other than getting Brexit done.

What happens once the WAB is ratified and the UK leaves the EU, and there is just six months to negotiate the future reationship with the EU, who knows? There are rumours that the DExEU will be wound up in January, just when the really hard work begins, maybe showing there will be no real effort in negotiating any kind of deal. He said we would leave with deal or no deal, but then he's said that before.

And there is the negative campaigning and the lies and disinformation. That the sitting PM and Government have resorted to such underhand tactics is shameful. But then Johnson is shameless.

After the lie regarding punch-gate was exposed and the BBC reporter apologised, Johnson responded by threatening to remove the BBC's licence fee. A liar and a bully, and despot in training.

He also wrote in a column in The Times that EU citizens have made their home in the UK for too long. This is also shameful. But then, he is shameless.

You have been warned, but up to this point the country has ignored the warnings.
