Royal problems

Yesterday, in an interview, Corbyn said he watched the Queen's Christmas speeches in the mornings. He could have been mistaken, or just lied. The Queen's speech is televised at 3pm, but is on the radio in the morning, as it is pre-recorded.

So, Corbyn may have either mis-spoken or lied about watching the Queen's speech. Our family never used to watch it. Or hardly.

Heck we were usually asleep after a huge turkey dinner, or getting our faces stuck into a huge slice of Christmas cake prior to the big film that BBC was going to show right after.

I thing the same can be said for most of us, who really don't see that part of the day other than an excuse to pop the kettle on.

Didn't stop the Daily Express leading with this story this morning.

Shame they didn't feel so affronted by a party leader who didn't lie about watching a TV show, but actually gave unlawful advice to the Queen, and failed to apologise, at least in public, instead attached the judges.

But that is where we are.
