Taking ownership

This afternoon, the Commons in the new Parliament, passed the WAB.

All Conservative MPs voted for it, as did 6 Labour MPs who went against a three line whip. It is unlikely they will face any sanctions.

Scrutiny of sorts will take place in the New Year.

Every MP who voted for this without realising what it actually is they voted for, now own it. They own Brexit and what will now happen.

I am in no doubt they don't have a clue as to what they have voted for, the implications, other than "getting it done". Well, in which case the hard work is now going to begin. Enjoy this peace, it will be the last you have in a year, and each passing day more fraught.

Meanwhile, the Department for Exiting the EU (DExEU) has been putting out a load of tweets and videos full of lies. Nothing else to call them, but lies. No rights are guaranteed, no laws will be better protected. Its all jingoistic bollocks.
