Christmas Brexit

I hope this to be the last Brexit post until after Christmas, but you know, something really stupid might happen, so, if I break this promise, then, you'll know its important.

Yesterday the WAB passed it's first reading, or was it the second? No idea. Anyway, it seems inevitable that it wil, pass with just three days scrutiny by both Houses in the New Year.

In it, it removes many of the rights Parliament has in the Brexit process, to stop it, to be informed, or to sign off via a vote on the whatever is agreed with the EU, if anything.

Negotiations will be conducted in secrecy, meaning that not only Parliament will be kept in the dark, so will the electorate as will business, that is supposed to be preparing for Brexit.

In fact, the Government is hoping to stop using the word "Brexit" at all, so it drops for the news agenda, so it can carry out its coup in secrecy, without having to answer any difficult questions from the media or press, and certainly not in Parliament where they would have to like, tell the truth.

It was always going to be this way, people were warned, those warnings ignored, and it is hard not to scream at people "serves you fucking right you dim twat" whenever they come on moaning that their jobs and/or house is lost.

Everything promised during the referendum, the 2017 election campaign, the A50 process has turned to ashes, and yet the people voted for more broken promises.

As a country, we deserve Brexit, and deserve to be royally fucked by it. Which we will be.

The horror has yet to begin.

Merry fucking Christmas.
